青空に恵まれたオープンスタジオ最終日。

『PANGAEA /パンゲア』
「地面に固定されない大地は場の物事と人との関係を柔らかく媒介し、そこに関わる人々の動きを写し取りながら、大陸、群島、離島と、様々に集合と離散の形態を展開します。」
....と作家本人の言葉にもあるように、
つばささんのスツールはスタジオから飛び出して、あちこちに点在しています。
オープンスタジオ＿#3『てん』では校庭に点在させるだけでなく、校舎内にもふとしたところに現れます。
だれもが集う場所もりや学びの里では老若男女、様々な人が、触れ、座ります。
集う場所に配置する、のではなくつばささんがしつらえたオブジェにより人が集うこと、をも借景要素の一部にしているのです。




Tsubasa's stools spread around "Moriya Manabi no Sato" premises. They were not only put on the ground, but also appeared everywhere for people find by chance.
Many people gather in "Moriya Manabi no Sato". The movable stools PANGAEA are arranged by people around .

It is important for her to make stools not put them the place where people gathers.

She makes people gather where stools are.This phenomenon becomes one part of element of surrounding scenery.

直に座れること、眺められること、移動も可能なので人々はスツールによって
集まってくるのです。

『スタジオ、オープン！』
スタジオでは室内に間仕切りともなる緑の衝立と空間を一つの設計図に見立て、グリッドに整理された進行状況を通じて、制作の過程、思考の変遷、アーティストという人間を垣間見る装置そのものに仕立てています。

"Studio, Open!" She built a green grid-formed screen in her studio as space plan.

It shows her working plan, transition of her idea and artist herself.

The artist regards it as a device placing objects from each progress status on the grid.

つばささんのように、身近にいる日本人アーティストが日常的に仕事をしながら制作する時間を紡いで、日々、自国での活動に切磋琢磨している姿に直面できたことが、海外作家にとっては日本でのリアリティを見知りすることのできる一つでもあったのではないでしょうか。

We guess that the resident artists have a nice opportunity to know the current situations of Japanese artists by meeting Tsubasa, who creates own works developing through friendly competition in her hometown.

2011年には東京ワンダーサイトでのグループ展に参加のため準備中。この経験を生かして次のステージへと、更に人が集う場所作りへと期待が膨らみます。

She will join a group exhibition at Tokyo Wonder Site in 2011. We hope that she reaches to the next stage making full use of her experience at Arcus.
