アーティストトーク第１弾はDavid + Kelda
The 1st Artist Talk is by David + Kelda with a guest....
社会学者を交えて、彼らのプロジェクトについて、語っていただきました。
ご両親の仕事の都合で幼い頃からあちこちを転々としていたD+K。
Davidはインドネシア、Keldaはなんと日本生まれなのです。
ノマド的生活を送ってきた彼らがトークの相手として希望したのが、John Krammer氏。
D+K discussed their projects with an sociologist.
They had moved from one place to another because of their parents' works.
The style is like of nomad.
David was born in Indonesia and Kelda was born in Japan!
This couple chose Prof. John Krammer as their guest.
二人の作品を語る上で不可欠のキーワード：アイデンティティ・移動
などに対してKrammer氏から突っ込みが入りました。
日本人オーディエンス向けに日本語通訳もお願いしたのですが
シャイなDavidにしっかりしたKeldaの性格がよく見えたトークと相成りました。

二人の作品を語る上で不可欠のキーワード：アイデンティティ・移動
などに対してKrammer氏から突っ込みが入りました。
これまで考えていなかったコンセプトの考え方、捉え方が
美術と離れた社会学の観点から提示されたようです。
"Identity","Move"etc, Prof.Krammer brought up those keywords
which are essential elements to the projects.
Thanks to him, it seems that the artists have got a new point of view
about their concept.
日本人オーディエンス向けに日本語通訳もお願いしたのですが
白熱してそれをすっ飛ばしてしまう場面も・・・
They were sometimes so excited that they skipped interpreter's part.
(We asked a former Arcus staff to be interpreter for the audience)
シャイなDavidにしっかりしたKeldaの性格がよく見えたトークと相成りました。
アカデミックな視点からの指摘を受けて、この先彼らの作品がどのように深みを帯びてくるのか、
今後が楽しみです。
